Canada Digital Adoption Program

The Government of Canada is investing $4 billion over 4 years into automation for small and medium businesses by providing:

  • Up to $15,000 to develop a Digital Adoption Plan
  • Up to $100,000 in 0% interest loan funding from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to implement your plan
  • Up to $7,300 to hire a skilled youth to implement the technologies

Benefits of the Canada Digital Adoption Program

The Canada Digital Adoption Program will fund up to 90% of the cost to develop a digital adoption plan, which is designed to help you:  

  • Analyze technology options to determine what you need and what you don’t need
  • Introduce automations to drive efficiency
  • Create reporting dashboards that drive decision-making
  • Leverage system integrations to reduce overhead costs, errors, and rework
  • Set up network security to keep your data safe 
  • Develop or upgrade your website
  • Leverage digital ways to connect with your customers 
  • Move paper, email, and spreadsheet processes to digital processes 
  • Implement or enhance your customer relationship management (CRM) and other software 
  • Integrate systems with your enterprise resource planning (ERP) system

Projected costs to implement each recommended solution (including licensing and configuration)

Analysis of the skills you will need to implement and maintain the recommendations included in your digital adoption plan

The program is available to businesses that are:

  • Privately-owned
  • For-profit
  • Canadian (not a majority or wholly owned subsidiary)
  • Between 1-499 employees
  • Between $500,000 and $100,000,000 annual revenues in one of the previous 3 tax years
